Historical paintings of Native Americans by artist Cal Peters will soon disappear from public view at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
“French Trappers on The Red Cedar” and “Perrault’s Trading Fort” were recently deemed inappropriate for public consumption at the university by a Diversity Leadership Team (DLT), and Chancellor Bob Meyer concurred. The paintings, which were commissioned in 1935, are said to “reinforce racial stereotypes.”
STUPIDITY REIGNS:eek:

Did a plank repair today. One 5 inch against the wall. More termites. I love termites unless they are at my house.

•Recognize Missourians right to Constitutional/Permitless Carry where open carry is not prohibited
•Expand Missouri’s current Stand your Ground laws
•Expand Castle Doctrine protections for anyone legally allowed into your home, vehicle, business and property
•Specify that except for credit card fees incurred, no additional fee beyond $100 may be charged to process concealed carry permits and allows military members extra time to renew their permits
•Implement 10, 20 and 50 year options for non-reciprocity issued permits
•Allow components of firearm training for RTC permits to be online
Governor Nixon vetoed SB 656 on June 27, on the last day that it was expected for him to do so. The chances for a veto override are very good. Two years ago, another omnibus firearms law reform bill was also vetoed.

These are the provisions of the Missouri bill that was vetoed by the governor. It will most likely be overturned in the veto session. If not, both candidates fo governor, the Republican and the Democrat support the bill.

The upcoming governor's election in Missouri is strange. The Republican, Greitens, was a Democrat for years. The Democrat, Koster, was a Republican for years.
At least, both support the gun law that Governor Nixon vetoed.
(allows permitless open carry, among other things)

Interesting
"Again, epinephrine costs less than $1 per mL. Epipens contain less than 1/3 a mL. As your doctor for multiple vials of epinephrine and buy syringes. Grand total: $10. Millions and millions of diabetics already know how to use a syringe on themselves. If you can't handle it, you can even buy reusable autoinjectors for $30. That's what's puzzling about Mylan. They didn't invent anything and people can easily bypass them if they wish. Autojectors/syringes are dirt cheap, Mylan doesn't monopolize them. Epinephrine cost pennies and Mylan can't control it. If people wanted to put them out of business they easily could if they just took more effort. You're literally wasting $598.99 on every epipen just for convenience."
