Hi all, I'm trying to change the colour of my concrete floor which the previous owner sealed with oil (I'm not sure exactly what type, it's a dark grey with a slight greeny tint in the light, photo attached). My local paint shop advised that it's not possible to paint the floor as nothing will adhere to the oil sealant and I basically need a new floor. Is this true or are there other options available? Thanks

If it’s a oiled concrete floor like one would oil a wood floor I would think you would have to grind or shot blast past the oil down to clean concrete to get a decent bond. There might be a primer that would work but for the money and trouble I would suggest either a floating floor or area rugs to change the look.
