I have ordered 2 dozen samples and I'm having the hardest time finding something that looks like the light wood in the pictures attached below. It's either too dark, Grey or whitewashed, or too much variation, or not matte enough. Any help appreciated!

The pictures look so similar are they both from your home.
What you're asking might be pretty difficult. Depending on whether there's trees outside for the sky is blue or cloudy and the color of the paint on the walls... All those things are going to change your perception of the color. One thing I see what appears to be a patio or something with a stone surface? That too reflects inside the home just like the blue sky or the gray clouds.
In the first picture it appears the wall on the right hand side is black.
If you're home has black on that same side then it may be possible to duplicate that look to some degree. They're going to have to find something that looks good not something that looks identical because the lighting is so different from one to another.
