My concrete garage floor is 3 inches below the house floor. I want to make the garage into a study. Problem is, the floor as it is now, gets wet, and in a couple of corners, water stands after a rain. I am looking for the most affordable solution! Any ideas?

Leaks most likely are along the garage door? Your wanting an addition and no garage?
If so get a framer in there to wall off the garage door and frame out the floor so it is flat and even with the slab. Make sure you seal up the slab before you cover it. Check for leaks or you could be in mold city.
