Red or White Oak?

Can anyone tell what this flooring is? A flooring company looked at several sample pieces and told me it is red oak but some of the rays look longer. Also, it is about 40 years old so it is hard to go on color. Thank you!

I'd guess red, but you might need samples of both layed next to the floor to be sure.
Photo colors aren't the same as what you can see in person.
