Replacement for Chemrex 948

..or powerhold or whatever they call it now.
While back I recalled buying a tube of adhesive a while back and I don't recall it was PL 400 or if it was another brand that seemed like it was identical to 948. There's about 800 ft of tack strip going down and we couldn't get 948 so someone ordered Sika Pro Select.
Installers say it is garbage for putting down tack strip.
What do you guys use? Need to get something ordered today.

So when I remove tile adjacent hardwood and a transition I sometimes leave the transition in place and remove tile and Thinset under it. Then the tile setter may be able to install under it or whatever “they” decide to do.
