M mrgskier Member Joined May 14, 2016 Messages 6 Location , Aug 14, 2016 #1 We are replacing existing carpet with hardwood floors. The carpet and padding are flush with the top stairs, they appear take up 1/2 inch, but the hardwood is 3/4 inch. How should the installer accommodate for this?
