My 85 Ford work van has electric windows. Something was wrong with the wiring to the passenger side. With it being 100 every day, that did not work. So I rigged up a switch of my own and got it working.

Usually it is the brushes that go ..
I have replaced the motors a bunch of time. They have a lifetime warranty, but it is a PITA . Only one company makes them, Dorman, and they are crap.
