Karastan is back at it. Wondering why the row cutter was behaving funny.... They forgot to put adhesive all the way to the seam edge. Fill was just under 6 feet, so I was able to replace the fill piece with the other half of that cut. Low profile patterned of course.
The outside edge, seam edge, isn't straight. In 15 feet, the pattern is off by almost an inch. I stretched the short side of the seam before we left last night, so it might be easier to get the seam put together today.
I'm not sure if the seam will look like 2 colors or not. Maybe it's just the direction of the pile is different on one side.... and hopefully it will correct itself.

It was 4 rows to a match, so I guess that's about one inch if you count both sides. ;)
There were 4 rows on each side with no pattern. Removing them made the match.
Has a shading issue too, and I don't think it's because of the pile changing directions.

There was a loft above the bedroom. Originally a corner wall was sheetrocked with plans for a spiral stairway. They decided on more traditional stairs, and there was sheetrock on the top stair edge. I cut out 1/2 inch of sheetrock and cut two strips of 1/4 inch, the glued and nailed it in place. This gave me something to turn and tack to. The previous installer turned and tacked into the sheetrock edge....... With 9/16 Staples.
Had this been a single stair, I'd have attempted sewing this one.... (To impress Daris) The original hack job worked, so I just did a better hack. :D
Notice the original tackstrip job... Nice! :D
