Hello all!
I was given a bunch of floor tile but I am not sure what kind of tile it is. Can anybody help me figure out what kind of tile I have and maybe some pointers on how to identify the difference in the future? The only marking is a stamp that says 'Made in Italy' on the boxes they are in. Thank you so much!

I think it's what is called a "patterned porcelain floor tile". However, I've never seen one quite like this pattern before and it looks like it could be a mixture of porcelain and stone rather than one or the other. There are tons of manufacturer's of porcelain and stone products and they change products sometimes once a year so it may have been something they made and and it didn't sell so it's now dropped. Hard to say.

Hopefully others here may recognize it.

Looks like a marble veneer, the red(rojo Alicante) then an epoxy backing, the foam box is an indicator of fragility(marble) I’ve demo’d all sorts of tile, it’s all a veneer not easily changed like paint!
