1955 home, sacramento area, recently refinished.

I'm looking to extend it. Was curious about what type it is.

THANKS!

For some reason being in California I was thinking maybe Cyprus. I googled it and all the pictures I saw has lots of knots and variations in color.
I enlarged the picture and noticed it's cut into very narrow strips and looks like white oak.
Do you have any idea how thick the floor is? I saw an episode of this old House that had a floor consisting of narrow strips of wood like that, and they were only like 1/4 to 3/8" thick with no tongue or groove.

She's face nailed for sure, but boys, that sure looks more like red oak to me. The woods rays don't look long and dark like white oak.

The color screams red oak to me also, but you can never tell across the internet and with the differences in monitors and such.
