I'm laying reclaimed parquet (roughly 8"x 3") in a herringbone pattern in a hallway. Using a mini circular saw I will cut the edge for the border having layed the herringbone pattern. I plan to have a border of one board depth rather than 2. I've seen someone online cut the groove into the edge of the glued boards with a palm router to slot the border pieces in. I've bought a router and need the router bit.

MY QUESTION IS... Which router bit do I use? The ones I've seen have the bolt and spacer wheel below the blade but, with the boards already fixed to the floor, these routers' blades cut too high. The blade needs to cut a 5mm square rebate about 5mm up from the floor. Any suggestions much appreciated.

They make them without the bolt. They're just a wing bit made for doing things like that.
This one's made by Amanna. I'm sure you can find them less spendy than this. But for what you're doing that's probably worth buying a good bit.
Wood flooring isn't my occupation so I don't know exactly which bit you'd want to get. I'm sure there are a lot of diameters and bearings to get just what you need. https://www.amazon.com/Amana-45678-...t=&hvlocphy=9033043&hvtargid=pla-597700019404

Here's some by Whiteside. Download the catalog and maybe you can search for something that they have.

You didn't mention the thickness of the parquet but that would play into the bit that you need and how deep to cut the slot.
