    Just wondering

I don't mean to imply that Macs are junk. It's just that they're ridiculously oversold. My daughter and son in law do a wedding photography business on the side and they make serious jack doing it. They need what Mac does. (plus she's a school teacher so they saddle you with that crap around...

    Just wondering

I would stay away from Macintrash. They aren't nearly worth what you have to pay for them, and all the stupid voodoo about how they don't crash or get viruses is pure bunk. I just built a machine for my youngest son for 150 bucks. AMD 6 core processor, 4 gigs of ram and a SATA DVD writer. I...

I messed up bad and need a solution

All you need is a 1/8" top bearing slot cutter and some melamine to make splines out of. It's really not that hard to do.

    Help choosing laminate

I think Balterio has the best product on the market. It's cheap and it's good looking and it's remarkably easy to install. The 12mm Armstrong stuff is pretty impressive looking down, but the lock seems a little small to me.

    Bostik solvent

As is mineral spirits. I only know what it smells like. It smells like xylene. I'm sure there is a trick to making an otherwise combustible liquid non-flammable.

    Pretty sure its xylene.

My old electric tacker is dying

Stephen King explained that phenomenon in a movie starring AC/DC waaaaaaay after they peaked.

    Carpet tiles

I suspect that's why Interface came up with the idea of using those corner tabs. People imagine vinyl is impervious. but nothing but glass is really impervious.

My old electric tacker is dying

If you'd like the Roberts one for free, I'll send it to you. It spits staples pretty much like all the rest, but it's not going to last like a Duo-Fast. I really think a pneumatic one is the better choice, but that's a logistical bitch.

My old electric tacker is dying

The newer Duo Fast is the best. I have a Roberts, A Crain and the old Duo Fast with the round head. They're all crap compared to the latest design of the Duo Fast.

    Carpet tiles

I have interface in my office at home. No chair pad and they still look brand new. 6,6 nylon be da bomb.

    laminate floor padding

Are you saying the inevitable compression of that 12 cent a foot crap led to a failure in the laminate itself?

    flooring problem, please help

Dafuq? Did the guy tape it off? Strange. You might be able to blend it in with a spray can. That's what I'd try first.

    laminate floor padding

But you're talking about point loads. There is no such thing as a point load on laminate pad after it's under the laminate. The pressure is distributed to a pretty broad area relative to what you experience when kneeling on a piece of laminate pad. It's not there to support the laminate anyway.
