    Floating LVT for Commercial Use.

How are the LVT installations in commercial settings holding up? Do the seams stay tight enough to prevent moisture from collecting under the floating floor?

Wifi printer has it's own address?

Sure as heck, I never gave it a thought. I went to the properties of the printer and there was the IP address for it.

Wifi printer has it's own address?

So I am 150 miles away from home. I have a program that captures screen shots to file on the computer and also to the printer. In the motel I printed about 6 map screenshots to file on my laptop to use when we drove around the city, when I came home later the next day I found the printer at...

    Click Lock LVT's

So what are the issues that you are having when you do inspections? Would be nice to hear about other installers mistakes so I don't make them myself. Just seems like there are so many floors over the years that where going to be the greatest invention since the wheel and they just turned...

    Click Lock LVT's

I don't consider the locking panels easy money. The planks aren't bad, but the 12x24 panels are a different story. I question if they will stay together over time. I prefer to glue things down so I don't have to be concerned about them.

    Click Lock LVT's

I have been getting into the floating VLT's this year with the locking systems. Just wondering how these have been working out for everyone. I always wonder about expansion on these floors, it is rather difficult to allow for expansion when you have to install metal in doorways and such to...

    Seam sealer for IVC/Flexitec products

Randy I think you are misunderstanding me a little. The bottle they give with their seam sealer is a joke, I agree. I guess I am calling it a seam sealer applicator just to be facetious. The tip with a fin I use to get in the seam is with the congoleum applicator, not any seam applicator...

    Seam sealer for IVC/Flexitec products

If they supply that bottle and tell you that's what to use wouldn't that be the applicator? But you're right it would work better for carpet. Just as with the DT-65 you use, the fin gets down into the seam and you don't have to lift up one edge like they state in there installation...

    Seam sealer for IVC/Flexitec products

If you were to ask me I would say the IVC seam bottle is a joke and just plane sucks. I fill a Congoleum seam applicator and use that instead. The seam sealer is fine if you can apply it properly which is virtually impossible with that joke of a applicator they supply.

    New Flexitec Adhesive

What I like about the MT-711 you can use a normal 1/16 vinyl felt backed trowel for porous floors, a finer trowel for nonporous and a roller for the thinner vinyls. It will be interesting to see the installation updates if IVC comes out with this adhesive or has it available. Makes me wonder...

    New Flexitec Adhesive

Good, maybe now I can get it and fix the bubbles I have because the other pressure sensitive junk isn't working. I have decided that I will start using Mannington MT-711 on pressure sensitive installations, it's a far superior adhesive I far as I am concerned.

    15ft wide carpets.

That's about the way I feel. When everyone starts loading 15ft by 30 softback rugs on the back of their vans on a regular basis the novelty may wear off. The problem is the extra man power is not always there to provide the extra help. Look for more hernia's and back injuries.

    Kahrs woodlock 5S

Installed a whole house with it last year, it's a little confusing at first, but once you get used to it it's not a big issue.

    15ft wide carpets.

So what does everyone think of 15ft wide carpets? I told the store I work for to get someone else or they have to help get them in a house. I wouldn't care if a never saw one again.

Seam tape and iron for newer backings

The carpet in question is Mohawk Optibac, it was introduced around 2005 if anyone has any input on it.
