Happy Father's Day (he passed in 1990)

Here's one of the last decent photos of my dad before he got blood cancer and we lost him in 1998 age 58. Every summer they would rent a place in Laguna Beach and we would spend the week there as they lived 2500 miles away and that was their chance to see the grandchildren.

Ironic. My folks, aunts, uncles and grandparents all had houses in Laguna Beach, and I would spend my summers there as well. They all lived off Thalia Street, and I was one of the members of the Brooks Street Surfing club.

The place we always stayed was the Laguna Riviera on PCH. It was always a lot of fun.

I always liked this picture of my dad. Kinda reminds me of John Belushi.
