Windows 8.1 Launching On October 18

It is official, folks! Mark your calendars for October 18. Microsoft has just announced that it will be official launching Windows 8.1 on a balmy Friday morning on October 18.

Probably won't fix the complaints about W8. And there are many. I know a woman who teaches W8. She says they spend part of every class on the new glitches since the week before. My wife has a laptop with W7 and one with W8, and she hates W8, but needed it for some of her college classes.
Two of the biggest complaints are, no start menu and no system restore.
