Hi,

Newbie here. I am thinking of installing extra wide laminate planks from the Kronotex Mammut Plus line. They are 10mm x 9.6 inches x 6 feet. I don't prefer such wide planks but the colour is a perfect match for the rest of my house. I am planning to install the planks over 70's style square vinyl tiles in my basement. I was wondering if you could help answer some questions that I have?
- Is installing such wide planks more difficult than narrower planks?
- Will the floor sound hollow with such large boards?
- Are there any other things I need to consider?

Thanks!

The only thing different is you can screw up more square feet per plank if your cut is wrong.

I didn't know if the floor might sound hollow or bounce because the boards are so large.
