What is best nowdays?

Nick we supported the US economy while we were at Vegas and brought a new Surfaces Windows 8.1 Pro tablet which doesn't have any Anti virus or anything on it. Which is the best to use now days and of coarse free

I think that AVG free and Avast free are both good. Nick may know of something better.

I would go with avast . I tested AVG last week to see if it improved any , and when i deleted it , it took out my system recovery console . Had to do a destructive system recovery .
