Wifi printer has it's own address?

So I am 150 miles away from home. I have a program that captures screen shots to file on the computer and also to the printer. In the motel I printed about 6 map screenshots to file on my laptop to use when we drove around the city, when I came home later the next day I found the printer at home had printed the screen shots as I saved them on the computer in the motel.

Am I safe to assume the printer has it's own web address or is something else taking place?

Sure as heck, I never gave it a thought. I went to the properties of the printer and there was the IP address for it.
