...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM SUNDAY TO 10 AM
PST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Occasional snow showers expected. Snow accumulations a
coating to an inch, with locally up to 2 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Coos and Curry County coasts and coastal valleys to
include Coquille and Myrtle Point.

* WHEN...From 4 PM Sunday to 10 AM PST Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Even a quick burst of snow showers could
create slippery road conditions. Be prepared for reduced
visibilities at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

* Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and

Oh ya I would put on the tire chains for 1-2" of snow. Definitely will need them. lol Have you ever road in a car that had chains on them. You will definitely know what a rough ride is. And don't wear through one of the link, it will beat the hell out of your car. Chains were a common thing when I was a teenager in Minnesota.
Nick what are you going to use to dig out the golf ball out of the mud?

My Putter .. That is what i use to pop a plugged ball out of the mud ..

When I was a kid, I had 60 series tires on my 66 Chevy stepside. 2 WD
I made chains from scratch to fit the wide tires and had a friend weld the fasteners that held the cross links onto the inside and outside chains. They worked really nice. When heading into the hills to check the local snow level, I'd have my mud grips on. If we found snow, it was quicker and less messy to jack up the rear and swap tires.
One time, 15 miles from pavement, I had a flat tire.
I quickly realized that the chains wouldn't fit my mud grips.
( This is where I plug in a testimonial for Vice Grip pliers)

I used the cutters on the Vice Grips, to cut sections off some tow chain and added them onto my tire chains so they would fit the taller tires......
That's my story about Vice Grips saving my life while venturing into the wilderness. One of my early McGuyver moments. 1978ish I suppose.

They been banned here since i was a teen.. They said they tear up the road ..

My little Chevy S-10 wouldn't run in the snow without them. The back half of the truck behaves as if it weighs 15 lbs.
We don't get snow that sticks very often, so no big deal here. Had 4 or 5 inches on the ground a year ago and that was the most in a long time.

MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Snow accumulations ranging from zero to 3
inches, with localized amounts up to 9 inches in the mountains,
are expected.

* WHERE...Coos and Curry County coasts and coastal valleys to
include Coquille and Myrtle Point.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Monday. Snow showers will diminish early
in the morning, but some roads will be icy through the morning
hours.
