I have a friend that comes up here now and then and is looking for a package that she can get internet service for her laptop and hopefully for TV access. Is that possible?
Don't Verizon and those type of companies have that? I know my wife checked into a Verizon thing where she could get internet on her laptop when visiting her sister in Florida.
Verizon does have that Daris. She was just wondering if there was a way to access TV through the same service. They're trying to eliminate paying a monthly TV dish service when they're only here maybe 6 weeks out of the year. With all the technology we have today, it seems something would be available for that. Maybe not.
Notebooks/Laptops come with two choices for accessing the Internet, either an Ethernet cable for direct connection to a Router or Modem and Wireless/Wi-Fi adapter to access a Wireless Router. As for the TV part some of the new ones have HDMI ports to connect to a newer TV but to receive a TV signal it would need a TV Tuner/Adapter. There are sites you can visit to view online programming but I've not delved into that.
