on Nafco Transcends locking planks a couple of weeks ago. Scratching is the problem. The product was less than 24 old and kitchen table chairs with nylon pads on the legs caused this.

yes it is but it's better than nothing I suppose. Some felt would be better..

The inspector said "well they do have protectors on the chairs"

we'll see what the mill say's.

Mill's going to say they should have yanked those off and put felt pads on. I checked out the site, looks like theyre on to something. I like the floating locking planks. Check out Berry/Alloc Pureloc and US Floors CoreTec for some similar interesting products. I sell a ton of those.

Those may be nylon pads on the chair legs, but they are embedded with small gravel from the driveway. Nylon couldn't do that if the customer weighed 300 lbs.

The product was less than 24 old
24 months?

up-date

The mill sent their inspector out 3 weeks ago and he said the chairs shouldn't have scratched the floor.

This Friday the mill is sending an independent inspector out to look at the floor. I find this very interesting.

It appears they didn;t like what the first inspector said. Course I think he is a dumbass so on to the next one.

up-date, we got out turn down letter. The mill said it was customer abuse. My rep wants a couple pieces to test so today I went out and got a couple rows from under the stove. My customer then showed me the utility room where the laundry basket sets and I took these pics.

My bet would be the Cat is in the basket . :D

It's hard to make a low dpi photo larger . Ya can make them smaller with no problem.

My first impression is customer abuse........... but second thoughts make me also wonder if the finish is as hard as it's supposed to be. Maybe a bit of both, but at what point did the customer see the scratching and continue with the hard plastic and not make some sort of attempt to stop the damage?

If a plastic basket is going to do that, It's not flooring, It's wall board .

the customer did buy felt pads but the damage had already been done.

The plastic basket is a LAUNDRY basket, underwear, socks, towels:D
