That looks like the same unit my brother has. Took it to the Saw shop because it was having a hard time running. Once it got running it wouldn't rev up but it spit fuel back out the intake. The guy told him they were booked up for months and couldn't get to it and recommended that he check out and probably replace the spark arrestor. For me to get plugged up it can't breathe. Sounded like it was a common problem.
Most stuff made today is designed for use with a Jack Daniels mix.
Around here, we can get non-ethanol premium.

There’s a funny as hell guy on YouTube Daryl? How to fix stihl stuff. I bought a kit on eBay even replaced the carburetor and had to rig fuel lines, cut some from the new kit, used some fuel line I bought at a “stihl” dealer cause they didn’t have exact piece that connected to fuel tank, obviously there were model changes. It works great now except it idols too high. No screwdriver setting any more I guess to keep people from f ing it up, tiny socket needed. Saw a chainsaw at pawn shop thought it was good price, then I googled it and a brand new one was same price 170$. That’s fn cheap, I’m all confused how the hell you repair with labor rates @ 90$ an hour.
our power equipment shop nearby also said they were backed up a month, then I go there other day @ 4 o’clock and they’re only open 1/2 day, the shop guy had a stroke, not sure if it’s family run, I would assume they not close and replace the shop guy.

Yesterday, I spent all day in bed with an attack of vertigo. I get fluid in my ear and then it makes me motion sick. I have meds to counteract the motion sickness but they just knock me out.
Woke up this morning and went to put my top plate in and my plate was cracked. So, I had to go into the denture doctor today and have that fixed. Took about 3 hours for them to do it but they did a bang up job.
Just got in the office and playing catch up with my email and voicemail. Still a little groggy from the meds yesterday so I'd rate it at about a half a hangover currently.

Just got in the office and playing catch up with my email and voicemail. Still a little groggy from the meds yesterday so I'd rate it at about a half a hangover currently.
Too hot to do much here. Heat index was 95 at 9 30 this morning.
I've been on a rip here lately. About a week and a half ago I was working with a customer here in the shop and he wanted some 8" scraper blades. Did up the ticket and went to get him the tube of blades. As I was turning around to hand them to him the little cap in the end of the tube popped out and the blades started to fall. My instinct was to grab them....
Spent the afternoon, first at the nearby medical clinic, where they tried for 2 1/2 hours to stop the bleeding and then got sent to the ER to try and stop the bleeding. On the drive over to the ER it stopped on its own. I cut a nice chunk out of my left index finger and sliced my right pinky finger down to the bone. Amazingly, in that short amount of time they have almost completely healed. Doc said I must have nicked a small artery in the tip of my finger and that's why it wouldn't stop. The way it was cut they couldn't stich either spot.
Next day, my mom called and my dad had fallen off a ladder and broke his leg. Turns out he broke it pretty good - 9 places. He had surgery and spent last week in therapy. We got him home on Saturday. He's doing good but won't be able to bear weight for about another 5 weeks at least.
Seems like when this stuff happens it comes in waves for me. Let's hope I've got all caught up and we're smooth sailing for a while.

Yep, problems come in bunches. I have been suffering from blood loss. All the tests were negative. They finally decided that it was because of my kidney disease. I went to a dermatologist because of a sore on my leg. A biopsy came back negative for cancer. Turns out, it is an ulcer. Unusual for someone who is not diabetic. So now I am treating that at home. The low hemoglobin makes me tired but the arthritis pain in my feet limits the amount of sleep I get.
Old age is not for sissies.

I was thinking about set up and breakdown today, time consuming yet essential. Our air scrubber is big, sometimes there’s no room to setup the ducting which is kinda essential or the exhaust directly out of the unit can Venturi push the uncleaned air away from the inlet.
For the customer it does make the impression and trust. Way back when we installed hardwood I was grinding the slab clean in a bedroom, the homeowner heard it and came in quick only to see no dust.
I have 12x12 odor control (Amazon)for my dehumidifier, along with NoMo (Amazon)for the toilet and an exhaust vent. Told my wife there’s 3 ways to get rid of odor, if I wanted to smell s#/+ I’d dig up the septic tank and put my head over it.

The impression you make and leave is everything. 95% of LVP is score n snap. The remaining 5% is cut with my jigsaw that is hooked up to my HEPA vac. Funny thing is you don’t necessarily need all this fancy equipment to make and leave a good impression but it does help. I could write a book on this. Prolly a good idea for its own thread.

CommercialFloorRep, Yikes! Sounds like it was a close one. Bleeding is not fun and ER trips are not fun at all. Glad they stopped the bleeding & hope you heal quickly. Very sorry to hear about your dad breaking his leg. Sending virtual hugs to both of you.
Rusty, could the ulcers be the source of the bleeding then? I haven't heard that it was a diabetic thing. I know it can be stress related. My dad use to get them and he wasn't diabetic. My best friend is also not diabetic but he gets them.
A part of me finds it funny but then I see how the guy's back moves and I realize he could have gotten a back injury from that. Airbags have quite a lot of force. If someone did that to me, I'd probably be in traction.
This heat has not been helping. I have zero energy. Been sleeping all day. Been all achey the last few days & could barely move. Feels like I'm not getting enough oxygen. Took mom to 2 appointments Monday. Tuesday I could barely move but I eventually went to get groceries because mom was out of stuff. Today I had to go to the post office and popped in to see my friend but he wasn't home. Checked on the poor little kitten. His brother didn't make it so he's out there alone. His mother was nowhere to be found. He doesn't look like he's doing well. Friend's gf insisted poor kitten had to be tossed outside. He's not getting enough to eat and drink. I may end up having to bottlefeed him some kitten formula.
Friend's gf got home and parked behind my truck- making it harder for me to back out. She was in a bad mood. Friend's daughter is back from her trip. I asked her how it went and she said her brother bullied her the entire trip but then stopped when they got home. I feel bad for her. The mother just lets the boy abuse her & punishes her if she complains about it. A wasp got in to the house so I killed it. The little girl said I was her hero and thanked me. Had to leave to go make food for mom so I couldn't wait for my friend to get home.
Cleaned litterboxes and discovered there are blackberry bushes growing around the burn pile. Thorns got my fingers.
I need to try to force myself to do at least 1 productive thing per day. I've been letting too many days go by without getting something done. I just lack energy and motivation.
I forgot to mention that one of my teeth broke. Back molar on the bottom right side. Not sure why. I was eating eggs & bacon and then felt something sharp at the back of my mouth. Called the dentist & they can't see me until August 25. Other dentist didn't answer the phone and isn't open again until Friday. I'm hoping they can see me sooner and that the tooth can be salvaged.

The $200 retailed for $399 at Samsclub a few years back. My friend had one (got it on a sale for discount) but his grandfather sat in it without a diaper and soaked it so it had to be thrown out.

My attempt to get back on a good sleep schedule was again foiled by Mom. She woke me up at almost 2am wanting food again. Couldn't really get back to sleep. Read some discussions about wiring on houserepair forum and decided to start thinking more about the wiring for my house and how to get it fixed and how to make some minor changes. I want to add a couple of lights, replace some vent/lights/heaters add a new one, and add some light switches and outlets.
I know I need to go to the store today to get more groceries bc I'm out of stuff. They keep being low stock or out of stock when I shop so I have to keep going back to the store to stock up.
