Many people think that only the 9"x9" floor tile contained asbestos, but as this link shows, some 12"x12" tiles also contained asbestos and the black cutback mastic also contained asbestos.

Asbestos was used in floor tile until the early 80's, but since they were allowed to sell existing stock, could have been sold into the 90's. The only way to be sure if your tile and/or adhesive contains asbestos is to have it tested.
