Carton variation

my new floor (timeless classics by Armstrong) contains 8 cartons each with identical patterns in them, and each carton of 10 has two of every pattern. So for a 200 square foot floor I only have five different patterned boards to alternate. This makes it nearly impossible to not have two of the same patterns next to each other. The instructions say to pull from three different cartons to avoid duplicate patterns but all my cartons are all the same. The place I bought it from says this is normal but I find it hard to believe. Are they pulling something on me?
