If I go into an old computer and restore the software to factory settings, will it delete documents and things like acrobat reader and Office?

When you factory restore a computer, you should expect a computer that functions like new – as long as none of the hardware is damaged. You won't have any access to old files and programs. While, for all intents and purposes, the memory is deleted.. You have the Office disk, and you can just download Adobe.. Just in case ..

Thanks. I saved everything I wanted on a flash drive. One of these days I will do a factory restore on an old Dell with Vista. Tried everything and it is extremely slow. Don't remember it being that slow years ago.

Windows 7 uses total of 10.5 GBs of disk space. Maximum memory limit for Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) is 16 GBs, 3.2 GBs (3.2 GBs)

Download Belarc adviser. it will tell you every thing you have ..

Do you have 7 on it now ?
