Heat

80 degrees at 8 a m. Been around 100 for several days. Had someone call and want me to lay carpet, Could use the money, but I can't work in this heat.

Once you get sweated up you won't notice the heat. A little breeze and you might think it is cold out.

Gonna try to put them off until Wednesday. Supposed to be a high around 90. I had heatstroke a few years ago. Passed out in a house. I have to be careful.

Last Monday we lost power at my Lake Havasu house for 16 hours, when the outside temperature reached 114 degrees. The inside of the house got to 98 degrees, and the water in my kiddie pool reached 105 degrees. Miserable, simply miserable.

I would have sat in my minivan all day with the AC on.

A nice big fan and my music. I don't leave home without them. If I had to choose between the two, it would be the fan, hands down.

I sent the kids to the lake but two blocks away, the golf cart broke down. We couldn't catch a break that day.
