Do they have the bugs out of IE 9, or is it a mess like IE 8?

No Problems with 9 . So far .
They are pumping out new browsers faster then the paint can dry on them .
just looked at your OS. If it's really XP, IE9 is not available to you...
MS chose not to allow IE9 on XP.

Anyway, my two cents: 1) if you're already an IE user, IE9 is quicker, more aesthetic and probably a worthwhile upgrade from IE8, 2) I am not a big Chrome user but I have found nothing in IE9 to make me switch from FF4.
At the present time, if I were to switch from FF, I'd most likely go to Chrome, not IE. On any system that I've used, IE (8 or 9) opens faster than FF or Chrome but surfs slower. And, I'd give up the internet if I had to surf without AdBlock Plus!

I keep FF and IE both on here, but don't care much for IE8. FF runs fine on my wife's old desktop, she uses IE on her new laptop. But it doesn't seem to do well with Vista.
