Righty Tighty

You all know the old saying, "righty tighty-lefty loosey."

This pretty much holds true exceptin for when a nut is on the end of an arbor that may cause it to loosen because of the direction of the shaft. Oh, I better not forget left-handed gas threads.

Now, what I wanna know is why in the hell is the bread tie on a loaf of bread bass-ackwards?

Do you remember the Dodges from the 50's? The lug nuts on one side tightened left, the other side to the right.

I got a bench grinder and each side tightens the same direction with no stop. It is a bitch trying to get the nuts tight.
