Had two baths to do on this job, course I only did it cus the other flooring is 1500 sf of Quickstep. Been a long long time since I did some vinyl.

Went to the flooring sundry store (Big D's) and they had NO blades for my No. 6 Airway ( favorite knife). Had only two hook blades left in the airway. Could not find my crain utility knife. So in prepping for the job I had to sharpen two of my old lino knifes. What a time consuming job that was. Job was so chopped up I had to pattern it out. Ouy, memories of the old days.

Back in the day I might have free handed this, even if it was Sundial Solarian. Not now. I play it safe. No gambling on this one.

What kinda marks would you like? I have some on there but I guess you cannot see them. Must be the cell phone pic.

Gauge marks.

Hmmm, I thought that nonsense was standard and customary pattern scribing.

I used to free hand almost anything up to sundial solarian when I did all three color tile stores. I never did pull toilets either, nasty work. Those idiots knew nothing about floor prep, or even embossing. I walked off half the jobs because they were bidding the labor with no prep. Told my boss to dump them. Right before they went belly up they owed him thirty grand.
