Just to update this thread, after my computer crashed, I went out and purchased a Dell laptop, with the hope that someday, my computer service friend would pay me a visit, and get all the pics and documents I had lost. Well, last week, mama's Vista desktop crashed, so she utilized our computer geek to provide her a new computer. She got a Win7, with 1 terabit hard drive, with an Intel I7 dual quad core. He brought his little 28 pin adapter, removed the hard drive, and transferred all images and files from her computer, then utilized two separate adapters and pulled all the pics and files from my dead laptop.
He also had a way to change the format from a Win 10 (my new laptop) and converted it into a Win 7 look and feel. I have no idea what he did, but it now looks and feels like a true Win 7. I'm sure Nick knows what he did, but I don't!
