M sister showed me a neat trick starting a fire. They take the cardboard egg cartons and fill the holes with dryer lint and candle wax. cut the carton at the divides so there is a little of the carton left. Stick the thing in the fire place along a log and light. Works like a dream.

Candles make a good timer if you want to burn your house down, and they leave no residue . Just saying . :D

i knew one cat that came in to one of my accounts just to get extra cardboard tubes of which there were always hundreds---cut em down ---rolled up an old newspaper which he stuffed in the tube---used them to start his wood stove----btw---crazy cheap sob---just sayin

rolled up newspaper in aa tube make for a good burning log. I used them in my garage stove many times. wet the newspaper and roll it up very tight, stuff it in the tube and let it dry and burn. Just like wood log. I guess I'm a cheap sob then.
