Looking for some help! What is causing this wear pattern on our floor? Not in a major walking path.

Can you get more, better resolution, various angles and distance photos?

You probably already know what MIGHT affect a floor finish----sunlight, spills, temperature or humidity extremes...........

Looks like tear out but the individual flecks of wood didn’t get torn out until after the floor was finished. That’s why you’re seeing raw wood, the piece(s) that were there with stain and finish on them are now gone.

Go get you one of them cheapo brown felt marker touch up kits and make those spots brown again.
