Saw this floor today in a cathedral
Been there 300 years
Which one of you could lay this? :)

I'd give it a shot but I ain't finishing it or making the cuts. I'd bid it at around 40 bucks a ft just for laying it.
 
What is interesting is there's no base on parts of the walls, cept for some shoe here and there.

Yep, interesting, but still looks good. Darn, now you have my brain going ... they probably laid the floors before the walls and accomodated for that. My guess.

Am I the only one who would like the challenge? Of course I love wood working.

You're not the only one ... I'm into crafty stuff like this. Almost broke down crying last Xmas, when my son gave me a big gift certificate for a craft store. He knows what I love to do. Heck, when they discontinue the little mosaic tile samples, turn them into jewelry.
