Sorry. Same version here High.

I've got another thing that started yesterday called, Epic Play Entertainment virus. It highlights and underlines words in red randomly on pages you read. When you hover over one, it does a pop up of some deal they're trying to get you to click on. You won something, etc. It doesn't show up on any scan I've done.

You'd think these aholes could find something more constructive to do with their time.

Probably totally frustrated, out of work, angry floor layers with nothing better to do.
...nah, didn't fix anything, but made you grin. :D

When I get to the BlueScreenView C:\Windows\MiniDump page, it doesn't do anything. Is it suppose to run automatically?

BlueScreenView doesn't require any installation process or additional dll files. In order to start using it, simply run the executable file - BlueScreenView.exe
After running BlueScreenView, it automatically scans your MiniDump folder and display all crash details in the upper pane.

Possibly there were no BSODs while the shutdown happens, but check if you have correct settings.

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel (Start>Control Panel in Vista).
2. Double-click System.
3. Click (Advanced system settings link in Vista, then --->)the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
4. Make sure, there is a checkmark in Write an event to the system log.
5. In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (64k) (128K in Windows 7).

I can see a lot of network related errors.

With all of Darol's frustration, I myself would either toss that box into a fire and purchase something new and improved, or have a tech completely dump all the files and reinstall a fresh batch of programs.

They want a $100.00 just to look at your confuser around here .
I had to fix two confusers last year that friends paid over $200.00 to fix .
The new confuser sounds good . :D

Actually, this unit has been a pretty good one over all. Of course, Nicks had it on the surgery table a couple times. The problem seems to have stopped now for a couple days. Maybe it ran for cover with the calvary on it's tail.

This thing is maybe three years old, four tops. I can see a time coming when it'll be replaced, but not quite yet. It's a Dell Vostro 200. The only thing I did to it was add a memory stick when I first bought it. We'll see what happens, and I did do the small memory dump.

Many thanks again Nick. Very much appreciated my friend!!

From now on some dump files will be created when computer shuts down.

When it happens 3-4 times re-run BlueScreenView, post its log and we may see something.

I know it has not restarted in awhile , but it did a few times ,so post the log and see if i can see anything in the dump files .

Download BlueScreenView (in Zip file) http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/BlueScreenView-Download-134999.html
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Blue Screen is empty in both frames. I tried the Selected Items route, but it wasn't highlighted and clickable. Probably because there's nothing in the windows I'm guessing.
