HI,
Does anyone have literature from the IICRC explaining what a (CAT1) entails?
I have a job I carried out some moiture testing on, the client has been told her carpet tile warrantee is void after a flood as the tiles were re installed over a wet slab and the water that flooded the area was contaminated.
The RH tests have come back at an average of 71% so I told the lady to pursue the cleaning company about the contaminated water to find out what cleaning regime thry used etc. They have come back to say the water was from a Air conditiioning pipe and is classed CAT 1 according to the IICRC and this is deemed clean water and does not pose a risk to humans.
I have asked them to provide that literature to send with my MT report but havent heard from them (I will follow it up today).
If anyone has this literature or can link me to a site that does it would be much appreciated
