Saw this in an old house, wonder if anyone still makes it. Really heavy duty.

That looks like real brass. I think all metal strips were brass at one point in history but I haven’t seen one in 40 years and it was old then…Never seen a new one. They make a cheaper version of that bullnose...

Probably could fabricate something like it if you search around.

This here looks close…$140.00 plus shipping for a 3ft. piece with 1 1/2” legs. You’d have to drill and countersink your brass screws. A guy with a machine shop could bevel the top edge and maybe press or cut a design into the top leg… I figure cost to the customer installed around $350 a step... Gotta really want it…😎

These will probably expensive but tacky. No pattern, no design, just kind of over the top. Might look better if you're walking down the stairs into a bar.

Any clue how old those things are? I’m gonna guess circa 1965…Unless I’m mistaken and they’re newer it looks like they’ve been polished… Or are they coated?

Same guess for that padded bar, gotta be from the 60s. Well kept, lightly traveled.

That grate in the ceramic floor looks like brass too…

cool…😎

It's in a dome house so I'm guessing 1980s? I can't remember if dome houses appeared before that.
Well, it's a partial dome on the front of the house that faces the beach, the rest of the house is a rectangle. You noticed the pitting in the finish of the brass, that's because this place is literally on the beach. Well it's probably 50 ft above the beach but it would only take one minute to walk from the house down to the beach. Salt air eats everything.

The design of that bar certainty looks older than something from the 80s. Maybe going for a retro look… Brings back memories when everybody had a bar in their basement.

I remember trying to find some solid brass flat metal for a customer way back when, maybe the 80s. No on carried it that I could find. I had come across some in rip ups from who knows when.

They have been around since WW2, they were designed by the military.
