Anyone remember carpeting stringers? First thing I learned as a helper. Glad that went out of style.

I always did the carpet before the tackstrip, I learned the hard way also.

My house had an ugly board going up the steep old staircase. Fixed that with a carpet cap. Been meaning to put some new carpet on these but haven't got the ambition to do it yet. Might be 25+ years old.
