Darol, do you have enough to do a bond test first? Bond test both ways and see first.

Well a bond test gets you results before you shoot yer wad if you know what I mean.

Who does bond tests prior to installation? Practically no one.

I know it would give me results for the present, but how will it hold up later is what I'm concerned about. Will it separate, bubble up or who knows what. I'd just as soon not be the testing ground on my buck.;) I need hard, cold facts.:D This is going in tomorrow, so not much time to practice.

I wouln't touch it unless I did some moisture testing and bond testing first. Skim coating certainly will help but by no means the perfect solution. The perfect solution would be shot blasting or scarification of the adhesive residues to a CSP profile of between a 3 and 4.,,a clean slate if you will. But who wants to pay for that?
Without that it's basically a crap shoot.
