Is this a DIY project? You have options but I suppose they depend on what and how many tools you have and your skill level.

You could fabricate your own radius stair nose piece to cover that up using excess flooring material. Would possibly look a bit chopped up due to all the pieces you would have to use.

Or you could get a wide piece, or pieces, of red oak and make some sort of header board that your flooring would bump into. I would lay it down where it goes and trace the radius onto the underside while leaving enough material for maybe 1” of overhang that you would find on a typical stair nose. Then you could use a thin piece (1/4”) of red oak to contour to the vertical portion of the radius that would bump the underside of the horizontal piece.

I suppose there are other options as well. Let’s see what other members have to say.
