Looking at Orcon's 'tree map' makes me dizzy. It always has..... Orcon can't make their tapes simple.
How about some new numbers?
K20 K30 K40 Lightweight cheap tape.
XK30 XK40 XK50 High end tapes
XU40 XU50 (Instead of the odd duck called XU90) for low melt urethane tapes.... a light and a heavy low melt tape option.
6" versions you ask? how about adding a "6" prefix or suffix to the above mentioned numbering.

Am I so hard to please?

PS prefix for pressure sensitive, DS prefix for double stick, etc. Too simple? To easy to understand?

I was told by a Karastan tech guy that XK30 and XU90 are both low melt tapes.

If he is correct............... How come there is an XK30, XK40, and XK50.............. but somehow only XK30 in the XK series is a low melt tape? That just seems odd and adds to my confusion. Shouldn't low melt tapes all have the same designation?
