Rush:
"So I shamelessly say, no, I want him to fail, if his agenda is a far-left collectivism, some people say socialism, as a conservative heartfelt, deeply, why would I want socialism to succeed?"
If you actually listened to his show, you would have known what he meant. ........he said that to piss off liberal non listeners. The news ate it up like bird seed during a polar vortex. He went on to say that he wanted Obama's policies to fail. He has nothing personal against Obama. Not against Clinton either. He said one time, that as a person, Clinton might be a really nice guy.
Rush says stuff to play with the liberals and they always take the bait. Rush has a show to do, and he has to make it entertaining.

That would be a upgrade for that pill popper Floorest The one i can't stand is that Ann Caulter .. Love to meet her alone , I would shut that fowl mouth for her ..

I won't pretend to know Rush's motives, but sometimes wealthy people donate to charities just for tax writeoffs. Don't know if that is true in his case or not. I don't go for the shock jock types- I actually really dislike listening to people talking on the radio. I don't listen to podcasts either. If I'm going to close my eyes and listen, it's going to be music.

I noticed Trump was freaking out on Twitter again. Four new sealed indictments were delivered to the court, and Trump is bringing up Don Jr's meeting. I found it funny how he claimed that his IC people told him that they were misquoted by the media despite the fact that their testimonies were on TV so we saw them contradicting his claims. And that BS he spouted about Mexicans with fast trucks, women duct taped, and prayer mats found at the border were all from a fictional movie (Sicario). LOL.

I wonder if Whittaker had the flu when he was on TV because he was sweating like crazy. I felt sorry for him.

I bought my van and carpet tools just for the tax deduction. Tell those kids that got scholarships he did it for the tax deduction. Does someone who gives away 5 million dollars to a charitable cause get a 6 million dollar tax break? Just trying to figure out how rich people benefit from donating to tax deductible charities. Ya make 30 to 60 million a year and donating 5 million drops you into a lower tax bracket?

So, I've been seeing people talking about a politician from Virginia (or was it West Virginia?) that had a medical school yearbook from 1984 where one of the photos was of two men standing next to one another with drinks. It was black & white so it's not easy to see, but one of them they claim was in "blackface" and the other guy next to him was in a KKK outfit. I took it to be a joke (the joke of a KKK member and a black guy being friends having drinks with one another) and also assumed it was from Halloween or something. I don't know the context, but people are calling for this guy to resign over it. Claiming it is racist and insensitive. They are going back over 30 years and getting all bent out of shape over a photo without knowing the context. The guy has publicly apologized for it, but really, WTF is wrong with people that they are dragging up something like that-- that may be in poor taste, but didn't harm anyone-- and making such a huge deal about it? It's not like he assaulted someone, stole from someone, or was shouting racist things. People can change over time anyway, so maybe back then he thought it was OK. I don't remember people saying blackface was horrible back then.

It's like people getting mad over Halloween costumes that are suddenly now considered offensive when they weren't considered offensive before.

Problem today is snowflake syndrome. Social; media makes personal opinions travel like lightning. People who hate people, especially celebrities, politicians dig deep to ruin their lives. 40 years ago, stuff like this couldn't happen.
I haven't formed a position on this one either. Looks like bad taste even that long ago. But like you said the context would explain a lot. Some people have a bad sense of humor, and don't realize how it looks to other people at the time. If he was actually a KKK member, I'd say he deserves whatever he gets.
I'm assuming whatever happened in this photo wasn't really racism........... just stupid and maybe funny in his own mind. A bad sense of humor shouldn't destroy a person.
Film at 11:00 as they say. I heard he apologized , but it would be nice if he filled in all the blanks so we could know why he did that.
I'd like to know who thought it was important to bring that photo up and why.

If someone calls me a snowflake one more time because i dont like russians fuc king with our elections and our president having secret meetings with the head if the russian intelligence, and his whole campaign staff being indicted i might have to
Call you a fucking traitor.

Seems like all they have on their mind is a useless wall.. They don't see all the other damage he is doing to the country ..
Makes your head Wobble ..

You mean the useless wall that the Border patrol says will be beneficial and will better concentrate manpower to better uses such as drug control. I'd Trust him over Trump.

Personally, right now I'd like to see every inch of the 600+ miler existing wall removed because that never had any effect either.
Only then can we have a rational rather than political debate.

There are differing opinions among Border Patrol officials. They found some to go on TV for both sides. If one BP agent says we need a wall & 50 say we don't, who are you going to side with?
Even our intel agencies have said that the wall is not practical. The cartels are not going across places where the walls will be built- they are using legal ports of entry. The wall is just an excuse to shut down the government and cause havoc.

While our government was shut down, our power grids & law enforcement agencies were hacked. The shutdown made us vulnerable and allowed our real enemies to exploit that.

My gut tells me the photo of the two men (blackface + KKK) was intended as a harmless joke but that people misread it. My brother and his friends said & did things that might have seemed racist to outsiders bc they were joking about things & making fun of racism.

I can see digging up things from the past if they were crimes or something was done maliciously & intended to (or did) cause harm. If the guy had lynched someone, attacked someone, or burned their house or something, I would consider that a big deal. People are trying to apply today's standards to past behaviors. Like, being angry at someone for having been homophobic in the past when being gay was not accepted even though the person has since changed their mind. Abraham Lincoln supported slavery early on but he changed his mind after he saw how slaves lived and were treated.
