Page loading

With dialup, page loading is of course slow. When I click on a page, there is along duration with nothing but a blank screen without showing any page object. I can see that the page is trying to load because the green ball thingy is spinning.

At some point, I can disconnect the dialup, and the stuck page is immediately displayed.

Is there some setting in Firefox that I can change to correct this?
It happened on my old computer too.

Hi, Make sure Windows Automatic Updates are turned off when browsing.
